What are the Requirements Needed to Become an Investor?

At Owner Builder Loans, LLC, we only accept investments from accredited investors. In order to be viewed as accredited in our eyes, our investors must meet one of the following two requirements.

 

  1. Have a net worth, personally or jointly, of $1,000,000 after excluding the value of the primary residence, if applicable.
  2. If investing as an individual, having an income in excess of $200,000 in each of the two most recent years or, if investing jointly, have an income in excess of $300,000 each in the two most recent years.

 

By adhering to these requirements, we have found that our investors and those individuals who make use of our loans get the most bang for their buck while mitigating the possibility of losing money on an investment.
